This December Ciniphonic #4, Stench #5 & Free Control |

This December is a festive one for theLAB. Starting with the mighty Free Control in Nottingham (Dec 10th), the fourth Cinephonic with Mr Elephant in Birmingham at the Hare and Hounds (Dec 11th) and back to Leicester for our first event with the Stench collective at the Independant Arts Center (Dec 12th).
 Mr Elephant is a phat mammal on a big mission. Since January 2007, a
collective of like minded humans have come together to create
groundbreaking events, a radio show and elephant workshops. With the recent addition of the Cinephonic Dancefloor Sessions headed up by Blendstate Visuals, Mr Elephant has moved onto tightly choreographed audio visual entertainment www.mrelephant.com.

 We are pleased to announce the release of our first VJ loops pack via the good folks at vjloops.tv. Our first pack is best viewed as a construction kit to spell out
anything you may choose in an 8Bit style font. Using simple chromakey, you are able to overlay any message you choose onto your existing visual content. This pack not only contains the full twenty-six characters, but also has three of the harshest strobes we have made yet. Simply key out the green, spell your phrase, drop in the background loops of your choice and render. As well as the original pack of 30 video loops, we have created a bonus pack for you to download for free. This bonus pack contains essential punctuation characters as well as all the numbers to allow you to create whatever text you may require easily.

It's only Tuesday and we are excited to announce not only a new member to theLAB, but also new client.
 Activa Music is headed up by one of the hardest working trance producers of recent years. Rob Stevenson has gone by many guises over the years, and with his first album to be released in late October and the subsequent release tour, Rob will be heading out armed with visuals from theLAB.
"Rob has appeared on the likes of Spinnin (Liquid), Discover, High Contrast, Black Hole, Enhanced, Somatic Sense and finally Paul van Dyk’s mighty Vandit Records which has enabled him to push his way into the record boxes of the biggest names in the industry and receive their continuous support. As an engineer Rob has worked closely with Jon O’Bir to create Jon’s first artist album, From Within and has engineered and produced, singles and remixes for Jon, Aled Mann (Discover), Owen Clark (Club Elite), Freesoup (Five AM), Chris & Matt Kidd (Joyride) and David Newsum (Discover), clearly showing the range and diversity of Rob’s production skills."
